Prairies are part of our
heritage in Cary; now is the time to assure their existence
and provide funds for these environmental treasures. Our
goal is to establish a $1,000,000 trust that will assure
the long-term viability of Cary’s prairies. All pledges
and donations accepted.
Help restore
the flagship park of the Cary Park District. One of our oldest
parks, Cary Veterans Park, is where we honor our heroes and
welcome visitors to the town of Cary. Help us make this park
the gem it once was. Funds are needed to help the Park District
secure a matching grant to re-develop the site as a formal
memorial garden. All pledges
and donations accepted.
Art in every park! The Foundation
is funding a bronze figurine statue for each park site; special
memorial recognition can be placed at select location. All pledges
and donations accepted.
Plant a tree, grow a memory.
Memorial trees can be planted in a favorite park to commemorate
a birth, anniversary or departed loved one. You can also
consider developing a butterfly garden. ($400 - $10,000 and
up)
Help every kid
go to camp! This program provides fee waivers for those who
might need assistance to participate in a wide variety of
Park District programs. All pledges
and donations accepted.
Charitable donations to the Cary Park
Foundation will be applied to the most relevant project or
program at the time. All donations accepted.

The Foundation raised over $1,900 at the 4th Annual Moonlight
Golf Outing event on September 22, 2007 at Foxford Hills
Golf Club. Information about the next Moonlight Golf Outing
will be posted in summer 2008. Funds from this event are
used to provide opportunities for youth to participate
in recreation programs, Park Statues Program, and donations
to the Cary Prairie Heritage Fund.
