Day-Off School programs are supervised by ET KidZone staff and are open to children in kindergarten through 5th grade. The program is held at the Community Center and open from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Today we will spend the day at the Community Center for a fun day of activities. Children will need to bring a sack lunch, drink, and appropriate outerwear for outdoor play if the weather is decent.

Begin and end the day at the Community Center with fun games and activities. In between we will travel to Classic Cinemas for a movie and a Kiddie Combo snack. We will be off site from 9:15 am - 12:30 pm. We will eat lunch when we return. Children will need to bring a sack lunch, drink, and appropriate outerwear for outdoor play if the weather is decent.

Learn to identify different fish species found in Illinois, tie fisherman knots, and how to rig up your pole to catch them. Includes basic tackle kit, fish identification cards, and fisherman journal.

Players experience daily scrimmages with active instruction and tips from the coaching staff. Players are encouraged to employ skills used in football such as running pass routes, play calling, defensive positioning, fundamentals of blocking, and pass coverage. These skills and others will be put to use in a “game time” environment while the players scrimmage each week.

In this class participants will focus on relaxing muscular effort and stretch deep into the connective tissues of the body. Yin Yoga emphasizes deep relaxation and mindfulness and is designed to increase flexibility and promote joint mobility. It contrasts with more active styles of yoga, offering a calming and restorative practice that balances the body’s energy.

The Day-Off School programs are held at the Cary Park District Community Center from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm and are a mix of scheduled field trips and/ or on-site activities. These programs have a separate registration and payment and will be advertised through the Park District website, social media, and through e-mail.
Due to program minimum/maximums, field trip deposits/ attendance confirmations, and staffing, please be aware of withdrawal guidelines for these programs:
- Refunds will only be issued if the program is canceled by the Park District for low enrollment or weather related issues.
- Refunds will not be issued for a withdrawal from a Day-Off School program.
- In the event of a withdrawal, a credit to your Park District account will only be issued in accordance to the specific Withdrawal By dates listed in the grid below. Credits will not be issued after the Withdraw By date.

Transportation by Park District bus is available for $5 (n/r $6), and leaves the Community Center at 11:15 am. Return time is approximate. Advanced registration is required for all participants whether riding the bus or driving yourself. The registration deadline is one week prior to the event date and refunds will not be issued after the deadline.

Beat the winter slump and join Glitzy Girlz for a night of glam with a unicorn rainbow fantasy theme. Our staff will give a pretty make-over complete with hairdo, make-up sparkle and nail polish application. Use paints, stickers, and other embellishments to decorate a unique craft and charms to design a beautiful bracelet. At the end of class, walk the runway in a fashion show for parents. A fantasy glam bag goes home with each participant. This is a co-op program with Crystal Lake Park District and Lake in the Hills Park & Recreation Department.

This club offers a unique opportunity for young adventurers to come together to embark on thrilling quests in a fantasy world. Participants will receive a rule lesson, create characters, and work through a short multi-week campaign. Will the young adventurers save the realm, or will the forces of evil prevail? Price includes a Players Handbook and RPG dice set.

Learn what it takes to make theater magic happen in a fun, yet driven environment. Students audition for a role in the play, are cast by the director, and will rehearse until show time. All students are guaranteed a speaking role in the play. Students will also play games while working on impromptu, projection, and listening skills. Students must be available for all rehearsals and the performance day. Tech week will take place 4/21-4/24. Additional rehearsals may be scheduled as needed. Performance date is April 25. Teams will race against each other to finish the same 500-piece custom Cary Park District puzzle. Bring snacks and enjoy working together to complete the puzzle. Prizes will be given to the winning team.
Game Rules
- Teams are made up of 2 - 4 adults, 18 years and older.
- Only one representative from the team needs to register.
- All team members will sign in on the day of the competition.
- Tables will be selected by teams on a first come, first serve basis.
- Each team will have an identical 500-piece puzzle. Puzzles are to remain in the sealed bag in the middle of the table until the competition supervisor indicates that it is time to start.
- No aids are to be used or outside assistance from non-team members.
- Any questions about the rules or issues regarding enforcement of the rules should be brought to the attention of the competition supervisor.
- Members of the public will be permitted to observe but not allowed to disturb or help teams.
- Each team can take home their puzzle at the end of the competition.
Breaks
- Team members are permitted to take breaks throughout the competition as needed.
- Teams are welcome to bring snacks and non-alcoholic drinks to the competition.
- Team members should not distract other team members.
- In the event of an emergency, the time clock will be paused and work on the puzzles will cease until the competition supervisor declares time can resume.
Winning & Awards
- There is a two hour competition time limit. The first team to complete the puzzle (all pieces assembled correctly), will be declared the winner.
- If time runs out before a team completes their puzzle, the team with the fewest "loose" pieces will be declared the winner.
- In the event of a tie, a 5-minute sudden death round will be conducted and loose pieces will be counted again.
- The decision of the competition supervisor is final.

Develop your child’s intellect through the royal game of chess! This half-day camp is perfect for beginners as well as experienced players. Each day of camp will consist of a fun interactive teaching period, followed by guided practice time, allowing students to play against one another while coached by an experienced instructor. The camp session will conclude with a non-elimination tournament. This program is a co-op with Crystal Lake Park District and Lake in the Hills Park & Recreation Department.

The Day-Off School programs are held at the Cary Park District Community Center from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm and are a mix of scheduled field trips and/ or on-site activities. These programs have a separate registration and payment and will be advertised through the Park District website, social media, and through e-mail.
Due to program minimum/maximums, field trip deposits/ attendance confirmations, and staffing, please be aware of withdrawal guidelines for these programs:
- Refunds will only be issued if the program is canceled by the Park District for low enrollment or weather related issues.
- Refunds will not be issued for a withdrawal from a Day-Off School program.
- In the event of a withdrawal, a credit to your Park District account will only be issued in accordance to the specific Withdrawal By dates listed in the grid below. Credits will not be issued after the Withdraw By date.

Community Center255 Briargate RoadCary, IL 60013Join us on select Fridays of the month for Pay to Play Bingo at the Community Center. Cards are sold starting at 9:45 am. Please bring your own dauber and single dollar bills as no change will be given. Cards are $3.00 per card packet (3 cards/game, 10 games/packet) 3 packet max.

Pokemon Play & Trade

Pokemon Play & Trade
Make new friends and trade Pokemon cards and play a game. If you don’t have a deck, you may borrow one of ours. If you are interested in trading cards, please bring ones from your own deck. Each participant will receive two Pokemon Booster Packs to add to their collection.
This class is held at The Pieceful Project, 27 Jandus Road, Unit A, Cary.

Community Center255 Briargate RoadCary, IL 60013Children will learn independence through hands on activities that are designed to promote each child’s physical, creative, cognitive, and social-emotional growth. This program provides activities such as art, music, circle time, manipulatives, and dramatic play to enhance your child’s independence through learning. Register for one or both days.
This class meets on Monday, March 31-May 19 from 9:15-11:00 am at the Community Center.
RowFit–
RowFit
RowFit™ combines the low-impact and endurance benefits of exercises such as swimming with the strength and resistance benefits of weight training all in one 60-minute workout. Using Concept2 RowErgs combined with a variety of bodyweight, isometric, and weight circuits, these sessions will meet you where you are in your fitness journey. Whether you are ready to push yourself to your limits, or need to ease in more slowly, the variety of steady fat burning workouts and higher intensity strength focused workouts will give you a lot to look forward to in each 6-week session.
This class meets Monday, March 31 - May 5 at Sweeps & Sculls Indoor Rowing, 4410 Rt. 176, Unit 14, Crystal Lake.
