Wilderness Medicine
Students will explore some of the dangers in the wild such as bug bites, snake bites, and poisonous plants. These future emergency medics will learn how to splint a broken leg, tie a tourniquet, filter dirty water, the effects of hypothermia, and 20 ways to use a bandana in emergencies. This program is a co-op with Crystal Lake Park District and the Lake in the Hills Park & Recreation Department.
Program will be held Tuesdays, 11/5-12/17 from 5:45-6:45 pm. Classes are located at Woodscreek, 1420 Willow Tree Dr. in Crystal Lake. No class 11/26.
