The most beloved musical in theater history brings the colorful world of Cats to the stage. Inspired by a collection of poems by T.S. Eliot, Cats, the iconic musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, is a well-loved fantastical journey into the world of Jellicle Cats. The latest production explores timeless themes of identity and redemption, while keeping the unforgettable music with stirring songs like “Memory,” and “The Rum Tum Tugger.” More than 40 years since its release on Broadway, Cats enchants a new generation of audiences with its imaginative storytelling and groundbreaking theatrical flair. Light on dialog, but full of captivating dance, rousing music, and singsong poetry, the show won the Tony for Best Musical and Best Original Score. Self-pay brunch/lunch plans before we leave will be discussed and shared 2 weeks before the show. Transportation is by Park District bus. Moderate walking involved with this trip.
