2025 Comprehensive Master Plan Update
The Cary Park District is excited to begin updating its Comprehensive Master Plan (CMP) this year. This critical plan will guide the Park Board of Commissioners and staff in developing and enhancing parks, facilities, programs, and services over the next 10 years. This plan will reflect the evolving needs of our community.
As part of the Connect Phase, it is extremely important that we hear from you. Your input is essential in establishing priorities for the future improvement of parks, recreation facilities, programs, and services in your community. We invite you to get involved in the process. 2016 Comprehensive Master Plan Update
The Cary Park District is pleased to present the 2016 Comprehensive Master Plan Update. This plan is a result of a year of analysis and input from residents, stakeholders, governmental entities, and the Park District Board and staff. The document includes a five year strategic plan within a ten year vision.
We would like to thank the community, stakeholders, government organizations, and the Park District Board and staff for their input and help during this process. We look forward to getting started with implementing the 2016 Comprehensive Master Plan Update.

2019 Recreation & Aquatic Feasibility Study
As part of the 2018 Comprehensive Master Plan Action Plan Update, the Park District Board and staff conducted a feasibility study to explore and evaluate facility development including an indoor recreation center and an outdoor aquatics facility. Areas of study include market analysis, operational costs, capital costs, program development, and site analysis. The outcome of the study will provide a tool for the Board to discuss its next step toward bringing an indoor recreation center and/or an outdoor aquatic facility to the community. The final report was complete and approved by the Board at the
March 28, 2019 Park Board meeting.
