Jaycee Park is 15.49 acres and was acquired in 1982 through developer donation. The Cary Park District received an OSLAD Grant ($165,700) in 1997 to renovate Jaycee Park. In 1999 the Park District made a number of improvements to the park including renovation to the shelter/warming station, and installation of the first park trail. The Park District was awarded a 2005 Conservation Award by the USEPA and Chicago Wilderness for Native Landscape Design within a park renovation, Best Management Practices for storm water management and Natural Park System Maintenance. The pond is stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, yellow perch, northern pike, catfish, walleye, rainbow trout, and sunfish.
