Val Budd Park is .70 acres and was acquired in 1974 by agreement with the Village of Cary. One of the first parks in the Cary Park District, it is named for Val Budd, a resident of Brigadoon, who lost his life in a car accident. A passive park, the natural area features native trees including Burr Oak, Red Bud and Pagoda Dogwood.
